Balancing masculinity and femininity in your wardrobe
Every outfit should carry both masculine and feminine energy. When a person embodies elements of the opposite sex, it’s alluring and magnetic. When a man demonstrates gentleness and generosity, or a woman shows bold unreservedness, I’m taken by it. The balance of energies is powerful. Gender isn’t black and white in modern society, but it is in the fashion industry. That’s why I encourage a cross over in textures, colours and fabrics that might typically be seen as gendered. Think Sofia Loren in a double breasted suit, or Mick Jagger in a ruffled shirt and silk scarf.
My job is to align your style with your sense of self. In doing so, I facilitate your confidence, which gives you the energy to be the best version of yourself. The balance of feminine and masculine energy is one of my favourite concepts to consider when curating my clients’ wardrobes, because it instantly communicates a sharper and more magnetic presence.
